Skopje, 31 August 2026 – As part of the activities marking the Day of the Agency for National Security, a special “Open Day” was organized for the first time, designed as an opportunity for the families of employees to become better acquainted with the institution where their loved ones carry out their professional duties on a daily basis.

The event was organized within a strictly defined and controlled framework, with full respect for security protocols, the principles of confidentiality, and the protection of classified information, which remain the foundation of the Agency’s work.

“Today’s celebration is dedicated, above all, to the people who carry daily the responsibility of an exceptionally sensitive and important profession. At the same time, we wanted, in a symbolic and carefully organized manner, to recognize the families of our employees, who are their greatest source of support,” stated the Director of the Agency for National Security, Bojan Hristovski MSc.

The employees and their families had the opportunity to spend time together in a warm and pleasant atmosphere, different from their everyday lives. Through appropriate activities, historical and institutional presentations, a documentary film, and activities intended for families, the role of the Agency was presented without delving into the operational aspects of its work, while highlighting the role it plays today within the national security system.

Working in the security sector entails a high degree of responsibility, professional discipline, and confidentiality, and in many cases also the inability to share professional obligations and challenges with one’s closest family members. For this very reason, the Day of the Agency was an opportunity for the institution to recognize its employees, who perform their work away from the public eye, with a high degree of personal and professional responsibility, as well as their families, who stand by them every day.

“Behind every strong institution are people. And behind all of them stands the pillar of the family, as the foundation upon which a stable and prosperous state is built,” stated Director Hristovski.
