The National Security Agency continues to strengthen security and stability in the country

The Director of the National Security Agency (NSA), Bojan Hristovski, participated in today's session of the National Committee for Preventing Violent Extremism and Combating Terrorism, at which the Prime Minister, Hristijan Mickoski, also addressed the meeting.
The Prime Minister emphasized the commitment of the Government and all competent institutions to coordinated and responsible action in dealing with security risks, emphasizing that the ultimate goal is a stable, secure and just state.

In that context, it was emphasized that the National Committee is not just a formal body, but an operational instrument with a concrete role in the national security system. The security system, as was jointly emphasized, must not remain at the level of a declaration, but must function. The NSA, as a strategic part of that system, has a key role in recognizing risks, timely response and ensuring long-term protection for citizens and the constitutional order of the state.

The session emphasized that violent extremism, terrorism and corruption are complex threats, which are often associated with institutional weaknesses. Their prevention requires not only technical measures, but also a substantial strengthening of institutional capacities, the rule of law and a long-term fight against clientelism and abuses. In this regard, the latest assessment by GRECO - the Group of States against Corruption of the Council of Europe, was cited as significant confirmation.

This report recognizes the country's progress in establishing a system that not only exists, but also functions efficiently. The National Security Agency remains fully committed to its mission to ensure a stable, secure and just state through professionalism, institutional cooperation and action in the interest of citizens and the state.
