The National Security Agency is an independent state administration body, established for the purpose of protecting the national security of the state, i.e. for the protection of the independence, sovereignty, constitutional order, fundamental rights and freedoms of man and citizen guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as other matters of interest to the national security of the state.<\/p>

The Agency carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia, the laws and international agreements ratified in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia.<\/p>

In carrying out the activities within its legally established competence, the Agency acts independently and without influence from political parties.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Bojan Hristovski, M.A.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bojan Hristovski is the third director of the National Security Agency. He will take up the position at the Agency, which is the successor to the previous security service, in October 2024.<\/p>\n

He began his career in the service, previously part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2006, and has held most of his management positions there since 2012.<\/p>\n

For a short period of time, he worked outside the security services, in the public sector, but through his academic work, he remained dedicated to security engagements.<\/p>\n

Hristovski completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Security at the University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in 2019 with a thesis on the topic related to the deradicalization of foreign fighters as part of measures to combat terrorism.<\/p>\n

During his almost two-decade professional career, Hristovski participated in numerous international trainings and study stays, the most significant of which are those related to the Marshall Plan and the ELEA programs.<\/p>\n
