The National Security Agency, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Interior - SVR Strumica, and in accordance with its legal authorizations, on 30.06.2025 in Strumica prevented the transport of 100 kilograms of narcotic drugs - marijuana, whose final destination was the Republic of Bulgaria.

After receiving information from our source about the transport of marijuana, coordination was carried out with the Ministry of Interior - SVR Strumica (due to local jurisdiction) and the competent public prosecutor, and on their part, based on the information provided, operational tactical measures and activities were taken, during which a vehicle driven by E. B. from the village of Popchevo, Strumica, and passengers A.S. (39) and A.S. (24) from the Skopje area were stopped.


During an inspection of a Golf passenger vehicle with forged license plates, six bags containing 100 packages of marijuana, with a total weight of approximately 100 kilograms, were found.


A public prosecutor from the Strumica Basic Public Prosecutor's Office was informed about the event. After documenting the case during the day, criminal charges will be filed and they will be brought before a judge from the Strumica Basic Court.
