On 1st of September 2025, the Day of the Agency for National Security was commemorated at the Members of Parliament Club Skopje.
Guests at the event had the possibility to get acquainted with the work of the Agency so far, the results that were achieved, the current projects and future plans. Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, President of the Parliament, Afrim Gashi, Ministers, Directors of institutions, members of Parliament, representatives of the judicial authorities, of the academic and expert public, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps and the international and strategic partners of the Agency were present at the event.

The Director of the National Security Agency, Mr. Bojan Hristovski, in his address, emphasized the need for continuous improvement and investment in human, technical and material resources to successfully address contemporary security challenges.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the Agency fulfilled the obligation inscribed in the Law on the Agency for National Security – implementing polygraph testing in the process of selection of personnel, as well as for checking the professional integrity of the employees. Moreover, several successful operative actions were realized, disrupting terrorist plans and activities of criminal groups with transnational character. “Our work cannot be seen, cannot be heard, cannot be announced. But it is here – and thanks to it, citizens can move, create and live – fearlessly. Our mission is fulfilled when we have a safe state and safe citizens.”, added Hristovski, calling on citizens to use the new tool at the contact web-site of the Agency for National Security and to engage in threat prevention through trust and support of the institution.

Plaques of appreciation were awarded at the ceremony to representatives of the state senior leadership and institutions, while certificates of appreciation were awarded to Agency employees for their professional efforts and commitment. With the commemoration of the Day of the Agency for National Security, once again the Agency confirmed its mission – to be a modern, independent, transparent and professional institution, whose primary role is the protection of the state and security of the citizens.
