
The new cooperation was formalized at the premises of the Directorate with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and Partnership by the Director of the Directorate, Aleksandar Pandov, and the Director of the National Security Agency, Bojan Hristovski.
This significant step lays the foundation for improving institutional coordination and joint action in protecting national security. The Memorandum aims to develop and improve institutional cooperation, harmonize activities in accordance with the legal competencies of both institutions, and ensure an integrated approach to protecting national security.

The partnership envisages the exchange of data and information of importance for national security, identification and definition of common priorities, strengthening the fight against terrorism and preventing violent extremism and radicalization in penal institutions. In addition, it is envisaged to organize specialized trainings, programs for the exchange of experiences and the development of joint strategic documents and action plans.
The signing of this memorandum sends a clear message that the institutions in the country are acting together, responsibly and in a coordinated manner, with the aim of ensuring stability, security and a more successful fight against contemporary security challenges.
