Strengthened cooperation between the Agency for National Security and the NATO Office of Security

A meeting was held at the premises of the Agency for National Security between the Director of the National Security Agency, Bojan Hristovski, and the Director of the NATO Office of Security, Galen Nace, as a sign of the strong and continuous commitment to strengthening cooperation and promoting partnership relations within the Alliance.

During the meeting several topics of mutual interest were discussed, with an emphasis on the ongoing activities for the modernization and digitalization of the Agency in accordance with NATO standards. The need to adapt national security capacities to new global security challenges was also discussed, especially in the context of rapid technological development and the experiences gained from contemporary security crises.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and coordination in order to enhance joint capabilities. In addition, it was concluded that the unity of the Alliance is its most powerful weapon, and a stable and strong Alliance is a guarantee of the security and stability of all its members and their citizens.

The importance of information exchange, strategic trust and joint planning of security activities was particularly emphasized, as a prerequisite for effectively dealing with contemporary security risks. In this regard, the Agency for National Security will continue to actively contribute to NATO's efforts to advance the security architecture and protect democratic values.
